How our service works, what it costs (nothing), and how cancellations and refunds are handled.

This page explains how our service works and how delivery, cancellations and refunds are handled. Because SelfStorageThailand.directory is an independent directory rather than an online shop, the way “shipping” and “returns” apply is a little different from a typical store — so we’ve set everything out clearly below.

What we provide

We provide a free directory that helps you find and compare self storage companies across Thailand. We do not sell, ship or deliver any physical products, and we do not rent out storage units ourselves. When you find a provider you like, you contact and book directly with them.

Service availability and coverage areas

Our directory is available online 24/7 and is free for visitors to use. Provider coverage spans all seven major regions of Thailand:

  • Bangkok & Greater Bangkok (including Nonthaburi)
  • Chiang Mai & the North
  • Phuket & the Andaman coast
  • Pattaya, Chonburi & the Eastern Seaboard
  • Hua Hin & Prachuap Khiri Khan
  • Koh Samui & Surat Thani
  • Krabi & the southern Andaman

Individual providers set their own service areas, opening hours, collection options and (where offered) door-to-door pickup. Always confirm these details with the provider directly.

Pricing and currency

All storage pricing is set and displayed by each individual provider, normally in Thai Baht (THB, ฿), on their own websites. We do not add fees, mark-ups or commissions to visitors, and we do not take payment. There is no charge for using this directory.

Because we don’t sell physical goods, there are no shipping charges payable to us. Any delivery, collection or transport costs (for example, a provider’s door-to-door pickup) are set by that provider and explained on their site.

Delivery and access timing

Access to listings is immediate — you can browse and compare providers straight away. Move-in timing depends on the provider you choose: many self storage facilities allow same-day move-in once you’ve signed up and provided ID, while others may schedule a start date. Confirm move-in arrangements when you book.

Cancellations and refunds

Any rental agreement is between you and your chosen storage provider, so cancellation and refund conditions are set by that provider under their own terms. The good news is that most self storage in Thailand is rented on flexible monthly terms with short notice periods, which keeps your commitment low.

How refunds typically work

Some providers pro-rate unused time if you move out early, while others bill by the full month. We recommend confirming the notice period, deposit handling and refund policy with the provider before you sign up, so there are no surprises.

If something goes wrong

If you have a problem with a provider you found through us, contact the provider first, as they manage the booking and any refund. If you’d like to flag an issue with a listing, or you believe a listing is inaccurate or out of date, please let us know and we’ll review it.
